Lough Neagh supplies 40% of Northern Ireland’s (NI) drinking water and is largest freshwater lake in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The large-scale algae blooms seen since 2023 pose a significant public health risk and urgent action is needed from all actors.

Each session will feature three leading specialists, offering scientific perspectives, management practices, and real-world case studies. Participants will gain a unique opportunity to learn, discuss challenges, and explore the opportunities microbiomes present for sustainable agriculture.
